Who we are

Legal Legend is software for UK law firms. Legal Legend is a trading name of Agent Legend Ltd (company number 17464557), registered in England and Wales at 71-75 Shelton Street, Covent Garden, London WC2H 9JQ. We are registered with the Information Commissioner's Office (registration number 00015569543).

This notice explains what we do with the details you give us on this website. If you have any questions, email hello@legallegend.co.uk.

Controller or processor?

For the details you give us on this website, such as a demo request, Agent Legend Ltd is the data controller. When a law firm uses Legal Legend for its own clients, the firm is the data controller and we act as its data processor, under a written agreement with that firm.

What we collect

When you request a demo we collect your name, work email, firm name, role, firm size, the practice areas you're interested in and anything you write in the message box.

When you try the Lex demo, your message is sent to our AI provider, Anthropic, to write Lex's reply. We don't save these messages, and Anthropic doesn't use them to train its models. Please don't type real personal details into the demo.

Why we use it

We use your details only to reply to you, arrange a demo and follow up about Legal Legend. Our lawful basis is legitimate interests: you've asked us to get in touch. We don't sell your details or share them for marketing.

Where it's kept and for how long

Demo requests are stored with our database provider, Supabase, in its London data centre. Our website is hosted by Vercel. Demo request alerts are emailed to us using Resend. We keep demo requests for up to two years after our last contact with you, then delete them.

International transfers

Demo requests are stored in the UK. Some of our providers, such as Anthropic for the Lex demo, may process data in the United States. Where data leaves the UK, it is protected by legal safeguards approved for UK data, such as the UK International Data Transfer Addendum.

Your rights

You can ask to see, correct or delete the details we hold about you, or object to us using them, by emailing hello@legallegend.co.uk. If you're unhappy with how we've handled your details, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
